The course for anyone who wants to understand how improv and comedy works in longform on stage.
content
Building on the experiences of the first course, you will refine your acquired skills in creative, collaborative and spontaneous play. The focus is now increasingly on the content of the performance. How do good free scenes work? In this course, you will learn how to make precise associations and draw clear ideas for the start of a scene. You will also learn how beats, cuts, premises, references to inspiration and callbacks work and strengthen these skills through associative long forms such as Harold, Armando Diaz, BIG.BANG.IMPRO (these formats are not necessarily played, but are only examples of them), which are therefore the focus. As always, we combine all this with lots of fun in a safe atmosphere.
Would you like to combine comedy and depth, experience a real groupmind feeling and be able to recognize and establish patterns and games? Then this is the right course for you.
This course is new. You can only take part if you have already completed “English Basics: Scenes” or have equivalent experience (for example previous attendance to the “Weekly Improv Class – advanced”).
The course concludes with a public show on 17.11.2024.
