Do you sometimes feel lost in scenes, uninspired or just not well connected to your teammates? Do you have reservations about going into a scene or starting it out of fear of „doing it wrong“ or because you „have no idea“? Do you keep getting to the point where you think “and now, how on” or do you feel bored in the scene? Are you well insured? Do you speak German or English? Then you are exactly right here.

Then you are in Dr. Gerald’s scene lab just right, because Dr. Gerald has a pill, a bottle, an exercise or a recipe for everything! This course will take place in German and English at the same time. You can play scenes in either language.
Therapy Plan:
For the mental health of the scene, we will deal with different mindsets with which you can enter a scene or how you can control it specifically. So you will be spared any neurosurgeon!
For the physical health of the scene, we will get to know figures who drive away any boring-virus and also use physical inspiration to remain completely flexible. With and without an artificial hip.
For the mental health of the scene, we will explore what leads us to empathize, laugh and excite in scenes and how we can trigger this in a targeted manner. Almost without a couch.
Therapy Method:
As a permanent prescription there are some scene-theoretical approaches, as group therapy we do a few warm-ups and exercises in homeopathic doses (C2) and the main treatment is scene repetitions and side coaching. Please do not forget your health insurance card!
And the goal of everything: helping player to help themselves.
Prerequisite for the course: These courses are for everyone who has already had initial experience in the field of improv and wants to experiment with themselves or the form. For this course we require the previous attendance of an Improbasics 2 course (or equivalent). If you have any questions, please contact kurse@pfirsi.ch at any time.
Note: We are taking a SPUNK break, so on October 13th no course takes place.
In our special courses, our trainers and guest lecturers from home and abroad show which topics they are currently working on that are outside of a „normal“ improv curriculum. Here we dare to experiment, deal very deeply with ONE topic or try to establish links with other disciplines.
