THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

„500 seconds“ is an original format that has 2 parts and it’s all happening in the same space. 500 seconds is the time the light takes to travel from the sun to the earth. If something was to happen on the Sun, we would only see it 500 seconds later – because that’s how long it would take for the information to come to us. In the first part duos of improvisers do a scene, that is 500 seconds long. One of the improvisers determine, what she or he will do at exactly the 500’s second of the scene. The other improviser is the Earth and has no clue until this 500 second… but she or he has to trust the partner so the decision doesn’t come out of nowhere.

THE FINAL BATTLE

Two teams competing move by move, blow by blow, scene by scene. Cheered on and inspired by the audience and expertly judged by the relentless jury. All weapons are permitted: dance and song, poetry and pantomime, and all genres from chamber play to grand opera. It can be awfully weird and relentlessly entertaining.
